Under EP4, project name reporting is encouraged for Project-Related Corporate Loans that have reached Financial Close and required for Project Finance transactions that have reached Financial Close.
EP4 applies for those transactions mandated after 1 October 2020 and that have reached Financial Close by the end of the period being reported.

In March 2026, MUFG Bank have issued their second Equator Principles Progress Report, which summarizes MUFG Bank’s initiatives and activities related to implementation of the Principles.
MUFG carried out an Independent Review of Equator Principles Implementation. MUFG’s internal procedures and a representative sample of EP transactions were reviewed by an independent party, Deloitte Tohmatsu Sustainability Co., Ltd., through procedures including inquiries, inspection of documents, analytical procedures, and sample-based testing. The sample EP transactions closed between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025.
Based on the procedures performed and the evidence obtained, nothing came to the reviewer’s attention that indicated material issues with the preparation of the Number of Transactions in accordance with MUFG’s adopted criteria. At the same time, certain areas for enhancement were noted with a view to further support the effective operation of Project-Related Corporate Loans.
MUFG will consider these areas for enhancement and follow up on them over the coming year. Next Independent Review of EP Implementation is expected to be conducted within the next three years.
