Implementation of the Equator Principles
In 2024, Banco de Bogotá strengthened its ESG risk management by adhering to the Equator Principles in September. This milestone formalizes a process we’ve been building since 2018 with the implementation of the Environmental and Social Risk Management System (ESRMS). Since then, our system has evolved to include not only Colombian environmental and social regulations but also international standards like the IFC Performance Standards for the most significant financings in our portfolio.
During 2024, we proceeded with updating our internal policies linked to the ESRMS process. This revision aims to standardize and optimize the management of environmental and social risks, consistent with our leadership role in ESG risk management and our continuous pursuit of improvement and adaptation. We highlight the professionalism of our technical team and reiterate our commitment to developing internal competencies within the Bank.
