Implementation of the Equator Principles
An Independent Review of Westpac´s EP Implementation was completed in February 2026. No material issues were noted, with a summary of the findings as follows:
- There were no deficiencies observed in how the Project Finance team indicates projects to be in-scope or otherwise.
- Project Finance assessments conducted by independent advisors provide sufficient information for all internal worksheets to be completed, which comprehensively assess all EP requirements.
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting obligations under the EPs are appropriately addressed within loan documentation, as applicable.
- Internal procedures pertaining to EP implementation are considered appropriate.
- We have no recommendations for improvements, at this time.
