Implementation of the Equator Principles

Korea Development Bank´s EP implementation reporting is provided at: https://www.kdb.co.kr/index.jsp , under ´Data & Implementation Reporting´.

As a full signatory to the Equator Principles (the “EPs”), Korea Development Bank (“KDB” or the “bank”) fulfilled its obligation to conduct an independent review to assess whether environmental and social (“E&S”) risk management has been sufficiently embedded across the organization and its work processes in accordance with the EPs. Conducted for the first time this year, the independent review was carried out by an internal organization unit operating independently from the department responsible for overseeing the bank’s E&S risk management, as well as from the units responsible for client relationship management and credit review functions. The scope of the review covered KDB’s overall EP implementation framework, including the bank’s internal policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the EPs, as well as transactions subject to the EP criteria. The independent review concluded that the bank’s EP implementation framework was broadly adequate, with no transactions identified as being non-compliant with the EPs. In accordance with the EPs, the next independent review of KDB’s EP implementation framework will be conducted in three years.
