Under EP4, project name reporting is encouraged for Project-Related Corporate Loans that have reached Financial Close and required for Project Finance transactions that have reached Financial Close.
EP4 applies for those transactions mandated after 1 October 2020 and that have reached Financial Close by the end of the period being reported.
Implementation of the Equator Principles
KfW IPEX-Bank has been a signatory to the Equator Principles (EP) since March 2008. As an Equator Principles Financial Institution (EPFI), we committed to implementing the EP into our environmental and social policies, procedures, and standards. These principles are, where applicable, embedded in the Bank’s credit approval processes ensuring responsible financing and advisory activities.
Project Managers in our sector departments are responsible for the Environmental and Social Appraisal for financing and advisory activities of each project KfW IPEX-Bank supports, including their screening and categorization. For activities linked to projects categorized as Category A or B as appropriate, a thorough Environmental and Social Appraisal is mandatory. This in-depth assessment is carried out by dedicated environmental and social specialists within KfW Group or, where necessary, by external specialists.
