Implementation of the Equator Principles

Cathay United Bank´s EP implementation reporting is provided at: https://www.cathaybk.com.tw/cathaybk/english/about-us/about-us/equator-principles/

Independent Review of Equator Principles Implementation

In 2026, Cathay United Bank (“CUB”) carried out an Independent Review of Equator Principles (EP) Implementation for the year ended December 31, 2025.

CUB’s internal procedures and a representative sample of EP transactions were reviewed by an independent third party, PricewaterhouseCoopers Taiwan. The review was performed with reference to the Guidance Note on Independent Review of Equator Principles Implementation and CUB’s Equator Principles Project Finance Management Rules.

The review consisted of agreed-upon procedures designed to assess selected aspects of CUB’s EP implementation processes. The procedures performed included inspection of documentation and system records, and sample-based testing of selected EP transactions. The sample transactions consisted of EP transactions reaching Financial Close between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. Based on the agreed-upon procedures performed, no exceptions were identified in relation to the selected EP implementation processes reviewed.

CUB will continue to review and enhance its Equator Principles implementation framework as part of its ongoing sustainability and risk management practices. The next Independent Review of Equator Principles Implementation is expected to be conducted within the next three years.
