IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EQUATOR PRINCIPLES

Since the adoption of EP, in 2004, Itau´s commitment to implement its criteria in our internal policies and procedures has been enhanced in order to guarantee notable technical expertise, unquestionable independence of EP Reviewers and higher effectiveness in risk manangement. In our Itau Unibanco Report we describe the E&S risk assessment process and guidelines in the loan grating decision process. All projects financed under the scope of the Equator Principles, without regard to their E&S categorization or in which of our international units they are originated, are subject to the scrutiny of Itau´s headquarter´s E&S technical team.

Further information on Itaú Unibanco’s implementation reporting is provided in their 2017 Consolidated Report available at: http://www.itau.com.br/annual-report.
